Alfred and the Roombas seek to create a Multi-Robot extension to the ORBIT research facility at WINLAB.

Many different wireless tests are being run at the ORBIT grid. However, all the nodes which project the signals are fixed and cannot move.

​

The hope is that Alfred and the Roombas can one day be mounted with nodes of their own. Thus, WINLAB and all those accessing ORBIT will have access to mobile nodes which will greatly diversify the types of experiments that can be run.
